Platforms such as Byju’s whose co-founder and Director, Divya Gokulnath, said, in a statement, “Since our announcement last week, we have witnessed a 60% increase in the number of new students using the app to learn from home daily.” Similar were the statements from some popular UPSC coaching centers such as Chanakya and Chahal. According to popular online news site Livemint, since the lockdown, Unacademy has had a viewership of almost 30 million minutes per day!

It is clear, with these platforms toiling and stepping up to the opportunities, that the consumer will have a lot of virtual options at the comfort (and safety) of their homes. Now, there might be some hardcore believers of physical form of learning, but the above scenario will lead to the new fights of the monopoly in the virtual arena which will inevitably lead to the best of services emerge virtually.
This will then, almost synchronously, lead to consumers, i.e., you and me going online for skill building in the post covid world.
